August 26, 1926 – February 5, 2010

Mr. Clifford D. Kesselring, Jr., 81, of 28 Reynolds Avenue, Mont Alto, PA, died at 10:40 P.M. Friday, February 5, 2010 in Quincy Village, where he was a resident for a short time. He was born on August 26, 1928 in Washington County, MD; he was the son of the late, Clifford D., Sr. and Emma (Flook) Kesselring. His mother died at child birth, so he was raised by his step-mother, the late Rhuie (Bloyer) Kesselring. Mr. Kesselring graduated from Washington Township High School with the class of 1947. He and his late wife, Mrs. Clara Jane (Reed) Kesselring, were married on April 2, 1950 in Mont Alto Methodist Church. They moved to the present residence in 1958. Mrs. Kesselring died April 26, 1990. In his early life, he worked on the family farm. He then took his apprenticeship for machinist at Landis Tool Company in Waynesboro and then continued working for the company for over twenty years. He then was a machinist at Mack Truck in Hagerstown and Wayne Tool in Waynesboro. Prior to retiring in 1992 he was a machinist at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg for 25 years. Following his retirement, he worked at Kenny’s Auction in Chambersburg for 10 years. Mr. Kesselring was a life member of Mont Alto Volunteer Fire Company. He enjoyed collecting antiques and going to auctions. He is survived by the following children, Patricia A. Kocek husband Rev. Frank Kocek, Mont Alto, Clifford A. Kesselring wife Vicki Kesselring of Mont Alto, Keith D. Kesselring of Waynesboro, two granddaughters, Melissa J. Pryor of Chambersburg, Tracy L. Kesselring of Mont Alto, and one great-grandson, Joshua Pryor. In addition to his parents, wife and step-mother, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathan R. Kesselring who died July 4, 2007.
