Mrs. Nancy Jean (Creager) Monn, 72, of Mont Alto, PA, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018, in her home, surrounded by her family, after an extended illness. Born November 14, 1945 in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul S. and Ruth Elaine (Crabill) Creager. She graduated from Waynesboro Senior High School with the class of 1963 and married Dennis W. Monn July 5, 1964 in Mont Alto. They moved to their current address in 1973. Nancy was a life member of Mont Alto Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed volunteering at the carnivals and working in the kitchen over the years. She loved spending time in her garden tending to her flowers and weeding. She loved to go camping. She was an avid NASCAR fan, watching the races on TV, but also in person, traveling to Richmond, VA and Dover, PA with family and friends to do so. Nancys main priority was to her family, being a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She was a talented seamstress, which benefited many family members, friends and neighbors doing alterations, making clothing and so much more. In addition to her husband, Dennis, she is survived by a daughter, Deidria Dee Dee Monn Davies and a granddaughter, Kelsey A. Davies, both of Mont Alto; a sister, Judith A. Kriner, and her husband, Terry, Mont Alto and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson Taylor M. Davies.
